Position Statements

A position statement clarifies the interpretation of the regulator in situations or circumstances where more than one interpretation is possible or where there is room for the discretion of the regulator.

The development of position statements is based on research and consultation, including:

• consultation with subject matter experts
• relevant research findings and literature
• consideration of the perspective of other regulatory bodies, organizations and groups that may be impacted
